The mouse...The rest of the poem went like this....<br /><br />The mouse stopped dead<br />And turned it's head<br />and said 'I beg your pardon'<br />I'd Rather freeze <br />on a piece of cheese<br />Than move into your garden.<br />I'd rather squeak <br />than shout or speak<br />and dancing on the ceiling <br />is not I know the thing to do<br />but I rather like the feeling.<br /><br />... I first read that as a child in a poem book where there was one poem for every day of the year. The book was a delight but sadly now lost. I am now 53.
